 Beautiful Mystery Rosé 2021

Think floral, as well as tomato bush, red apple skin and candy on the nose.  It is rather fleshy on the palate with a dry finish, delivered to you on a tide of mineral salinity.

The textural mouth feel showcases the intricacies of Sangiovese and also allows for the wine to be enjoyed with food. It is a fruit forward and savory style rose.

A true Australian gem, ready to take our South of France friends on.

Winemaking by Warren Proft

The Rose was harvested at 12.0 Baume and crushed into press where it was held on skins for 6 hours before being drained and gently pressed to tank.

Only free run juice was then settled, racked to tank for ferment, and inoculated with yeast. After a cool ferment the wine was allowed to mature on light yeast lees for 6 months before being prepared for bottling. 

The pioneering Sangiovese winemakers of the King Valley who perservered with this Tuscan “Blood of Jupiter” are now reaping the rewards of their toil and gamble.

It has proved to be a long hard road for wine producers with the journey still unfolding.

For wine drinkers, the journey is a spinning Atlas of possibilities.
